Location & Schedule
📍 ADE Blainville – 926 Boulevard du Curé-Labelle, Blainville, QC J7C 2L7
🕒 Schedule: 4- or 5-day work week (32–40 hours/week)
💵 Salary: $21.60–$30.03/hour (based on MFA scale and experience)
🌴 PTO: 4–6% vacation pay + up to 3 weeks PTO = Up to 6 weeks paid time off per year
About the Role: A Dual Focus
This hybrid position combines classroom teaching with assistant leadership duties.
In the Classroom:
Lead engaging, developmentally appropriate programming aligned with ADE’s curriculum
Facilitate small group workshops and daily routines with care and intention
Create a calm, organized, and inspiring classroom environment
Build strong relationships with children, families, and team members
Use Brightwheel to document learning and share updates with families
As Assistant Director:
Support the Center Director in overseeing classroom quality and team collaboration
Help onboard and coach educators to implement ADE’s curriculum with fidelity
Assist with classroom scheduling, staff coverage, and daily logistics
Contribute to staff meetings, PD sessions, and family communications
Support event planning and center-wide initiatives
What We’re Looking For
Diploma (DEC, AEC, bachelor’s degree or equivalent) in Early Childhood Education (or currently in progress)
Recognized MFA-qualified status (or actively on the pathway)
Experience in a preschool, daycare, or CPE setting (an asset)
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills
A team-first attitude with a proactive, supportive approach
Bilingualism in French and English is a strong asset
Valid First Aid Certification (8-hour daycare-specific course)
Police background check (required for work with vulnerable populations)
