Child Development Centre
SPECIAL NEEDS IN
Early Intervention & Inclusive Early Childhood Education.
1 in 6 children are diagnosed with a developmental disability in North America.
The prevalence of children with special needs requires all of our educational and support staff to be trained in providing high-quality inclusive early childhood education. Our center welcomes and supports children with all levels of development. It is important for us to work with families to spot risks and signs of developmental delays in early childhood so that early intervention methods can be applied. Research shows that early intervention in childhood significantly improves the outcome of children with developmental disabilities.
Our center follows an inclusive education model which ensures that all children receive accommodation and are provided with equal opportunities for enriching experiences in early childhood. All children are given equal opportunity to participate in activities that promote social, physical, cognitive and language development. These early experiences are critical for the positive development & outcomes of each child. Inclusive education benefits everyone involved by encouraging friendships amongst all children, modeling positive behaviors, and setting higher expectations for children with or without disabilities.
Our center has collaborated with a Licensed Psychologist who provides individualized programs for children with disabilities, including ABA (Behavioural Intervention) therapy, Speech-Language therapy, and other types of individual or group therapies.
Our center offers ABA therapy services in-house, along with a team of qualified professionals trained in behavioural intervention in early childhood. Our team specializes in Autism early intervention.
Our center offers Speech-Language therapy services to children who require intervention due to developmental disabilities or speech delays.
We offer resources to parents with children requiring a shadow or assistant in the classroom, during a difficult transition period or due to developmental delay.
